3^rd Shift Monday – Friday 11am -7pm - $15.50 with occasional Saturday

Position Summary 

Link Winder Operator – It is the responsibility of each operator to follow all jobs instructions and procedures to reduce error ad insure a quality product.

Position Responsibilities  

Check ID’s before starting shift; do not run without a proper signature on ID. 

• Patrol job consistently creeling, doffing, repairing ends down and cleaning machine 
• Moves full bobbin boxes along length of the winder while filling the magazines 
• Keep electronic clearing devices clean and free of lint and wild yarn 
• Strip piece bobbins and tangled cones as needed 

• Use apron to keep reworkable fiber waste, place waste in properly marked container as available 
• Remove small laps from arbor 
• Keep knotter suction mouth clean 
• Empty bobbin trays 
• Move full doffs of yarn to twisting 

• Retrieve empty cones and boxes from twisting 
• Remove winder pneumafil waste as needed 
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Essential Skills and Experience  

Standing - 7 1/2 hours concrete floor 

Sitting - Two 20-minute breaks

Moving - moves about in an area approximately _70’ x 100’, while performing duties, no prolonged standing in single location 

Moving Materials –Pushes full boxes of yarn up and down winder alley while performing duties 

Hearing/Speaking - must be able to communicate with Fixers and Supervisors 

Reaching – Normal 3-4 feet

Visual Acuity - Must be able to see quality and mechanical problems.

Color vision required with minimum near vision to distinguish quality defects 

Bending /Stooping – Frequent bending to remove bobbins from yarn boxes.

Lifting – No heavy lifting

Beneficial Skills and Experience  

Prerequisites Mandatory: Must be able to read job instructions. 

Preferred: H.S. or G.E.D.
