Job Description: Indorama Ventures Oxides, LLC is currently looking to hire a Benefits Analyst based at our office in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will ensure the creation and use of competitive and compliant benefit programs. This position makes recommendations and implements changes that deliver our total rewards strategy and business objectives What will be expected of you? Analyze benefit plan design and performance by comparing results against market benchmarks, participate in surveys and support evaluation of plan design. Recommend changes which ensure competitiveness of benefit plans. Ensure benefit plan documentation is maintained and that plan administration including participant notifications and government filings are in compliance with ERISA, ACA, DOL, IRS, federal and state regulations. Ensure timely communication with benefit vendors regarding gaps in benefit plan delivery so that any issues are identified and near and long-term solutions implemented. Partner with Information Technology (IT) and providers regarding system updates, interfaces and customizations as assigned. Participate in the entire life cycle of implementing benefits programs with internal departments (IT and payroll) and external vendors. Assist with user acceptance testing. Identify service and/or system issues for external and internal stakeholders and vendors. Make recommendations for resolution to department leadership. Perform operational and transactional tasks required to administer company benefit programs and provides prompt and accurate responses to customers through a variety of channels (i.e. email, phone, chat.) Partner with vendors/providers to support flawless administration of benefit plans, such as healthcare, 401(k), short term disability, long term disability, and leaves. Support compliance of associated state and federal laws/regulations and mandatory record keeping through routine and ad hoc reporting as required. Identify discrepancies and report to management. Partner with internal and external parties to ensure all benefit deductions, including arrears and refunds, 401(k) deferrals and contributions, or payment of wage replacement are accurate as assigned. Audit associated system reports to ensure accuracy and takes necessary action to correct discrepancies. Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors and funding of various plans. Work with internal parties to ensure timely and accurate booking of various benefit payments. Reconcile, on a regular basis, various aspect of plans to ensure accuracy and compliance. Independently manage time effectively and prioritizes daily tasks. Assist other team members as needed. Must show ownership of one’s work. What are we looking for in the ideal candidate? Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field preferred. Five to eight years of experience in Benefits Administration. CCP or CEBS accreditation preferred, SHRM-CP/SCP a plus. Prior experience in HRIS platform with Workday or Success Factors a plus. Proactively partners with Payroll, HRIS associates and vendors to ensure seamless delivery. Basic understanding of employment laws as they apply to the hiring process. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to establish relationships quickly and easily. Ability to work well under pressure with excellent time management skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel experience in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Must be task-oriented and be able to consistently meet deadlines. Highly self-motivated, able to work autonomously with general direction. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and ADP Modules: Time and Attendance, Leave and Scheduler. Knowledge and administration of 401(k) plans and day-to-day activity including loading and funding of contributions. Knowledge and ability to complete YE tasks, NDT testing, Audits, 401(k) True-up, QNECs (when needed), required notices, and completion of 5500. Solid understanding of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, Section 125, IRS, and other regulatory requirements. Knowledge and administration of LOA (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA and intermittent leave). Knowledge of Pension administration, filing and paying PBGC, and non-qualified plans is a plus. Knowledge and administration of Health & Welfare plans including Worksite benefits, including ACA filings, required notices, PCORI filings, and completion of 5500. Must be a team player and work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. What can we offer you?
