iVET360 is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Haleyville, AL

Do you want to Help People (and their Pets)? 

Bell Veterinary Hospital is a busy, single-doctor practice in Haleyville, AL. As we have grown, we have a rare receptionist opening. If you've always wanted to work in the veterinary field, this is a great way to get your foot in the door. We foster a team atmosphere; everyone chips in and helps in all parts of the hospital. We are looking for someone who excels at customer service and is also able to assist our veterinarian with medical tasks and patient care. Don't worry, we will train you!

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least 1-year experience in a customer service position
  • Be comfortable around pets
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to multi-taskprioritize and take initiative
  • Be curious and have a desire to learn and grow in this profession
  • Be extremely reliable and have a “team first” mentality
  • Be able to lift 45 pounds

Duties may include:

  • scheduling appointments
  • answering phone calls and computer skills
  • checking in and discharging patients
  • animal restraint and handling
  • laboratory procedures, including urinalysis, heartworm testing, fecal exams, and running our blood work machines
  • nail trim and anal gland expression
  • ear cleaning/flushing
  • dispensing medications
  • client education
  • hospitalized patient treatment and discharge
