IU Methodist's Med/Surg, B7 is a 24-bed unit that provides 24-hour care to acutely ill medical patients. The patient population ranges from the young adult to geriatric age groups. The most common conditions treated include stroke, TIA, diabetes management, pancreatitis, and wound management. Nursing skills gained through working on this unit include Stroke Certification and the ability to care for a wide range of patient conditions. If you are looking for growth in your career? Experienced Nurses and New Graduates Encouraged!
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
