Job Description

ITW Hi-Cone is looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to implement a critical addition to Hi-Cone’s current product portfolio, a new multipack solution referred to as Curbside. While reporting to the Global Product Portfolio Manager, the Product Manager of the Curbside Program Manager will haveresponsibility of the product’s ultimate engineering, operational and commercial execution. As such the Product Manager will have interaction and collaboration with cross-functional team members from Engineering, Marketing, Commercial and Operations at ITW Hi-Cone and ITW Hartness. An ideal candidate will have the experience and entrepreneurial drive to take a product concept from product introduction, working closely with initial customer requirements and out-sourced production to a full product line, spanning multiple customers and implementing in-house production.

Hi-Cone is the preferred multipackaging system for both the global Alcohol & Non-Alcoholic Ready to Drink (NARTD) beverage markets by providing sustainable solutions and serving as a trusted advisor to our key customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Program Lead
:

  • Lead Curbside Multipack Carrier project from development phases through commercial launch. Drive the successful curbside carrier and application machine launch with continued product updates.
  • Establish rapport with Hi-Cone and Hartness project team members.
  • Employ project management skills to drive the overall project timeline and deliverables.
  • Manage and update allocated project budget.
  • Report to key stakeholders about progress and necessary launch plan modifications.


Commercial Execution:

  • Develop commercial go-to-market strategy and launch plans for key customers.
  • Partner with commercial team to host regular communication update meetings with key customers who will be implementing the new product line; successfully articulate the quantifiable and differentiated customer value proposition to Hi-Cone’s key customers.


Operational Excellence:

  • Create manufacturing footprint with Operations team.
  • Work with outside vendors to ensure on time results to meet customer deadlines.
  • Monitor ongoing product performance and customer satisfaction; this person will drive continuous product improvement both internally and externally.


Engineering Execution:

  • Ensuring completed carrier designs for all Alcohol and NARTD packages with engineering team
  • Partner with Hi-Cone Service Team and Hartness business unit team to educate and create plan for machine changeouts.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be experienced in project management in the manufacturing industry and demonstrate the following skills:

  • Highly effective organization, negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills online and in person.
  • Flexible/agile when unexpected events occur.
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams that don’t directly report to you.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, think on their feet, and execute with speed.
  • Independent decision maker in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business, marketing, or comparable discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience of progressive commercial business experience including leadership in product management & product launches with the operation teams.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic & operational levels, with proven track record of executing customer back innovation strategies.
  • Travel up to 20%.
