SUMMARY

Accountant II provides timely information for the manufacturing operations to meet corporate requirements and guides effective business decisions that deliver profitable growth. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares and posts Divisional journal entries into General Ledger.
2. Reconciles most of Divisional Balance Sheet accounts as assigned. Identifies differences and makes appropriate corrections. Ensures adequate documentation is included to support GL balances.
3. Prepares Month-end financial reports (Income Statement, Selected Data and Balance-sheet) and submits in FRIDA (Financial Reporting).
4. Prepares Departmental Cost Analysis (Actual vs. Outlook, Plan and Prior Year) and communicates to Departmental leaders.
5. Supports Accounting Manager/Division Controller with Plan & LRP schedules preparation.
6. Tracks actual costs for Capital Projects and maintains & reconciles Fixed Assets in BBNA & GL.
7. Calculates and files Sales & Use Tax reporting.
8. Prepares Ad-Hoc projects as instructed by the Accounting Manager and/or Division Controller.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree. 3 years of accounting experience.
2. Understanding of financial statements and working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
3. Excellent analytical skills and capability to form succinct recommendations.
4. Attention to details with a focus on results.
5. Collaborative, self-directed and team.
6. Experience with Month-end close, Fixed Assets and Internal Controls management.
7. Must have working knowledge of ERP systems and Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
