General Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for managing service delivery of key technology enabled implementations, enhancements, and upgrades for various departments within the ITT Industrial Process division. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities and thrives when dealing with ambiguity.

The person in this role will work with their business partners to help them address problems and strategic needs applying technology to achieve critical business outcomes. This person will work in a matrixed team environment, with resources around the globe, coordinating with them to deliver IT services in an effective and timely manner. A successful person in this role will have a growth mindset, be highly accountable to deliver on their commitments and work well in a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain working relationships with project sponsors, key users, and IT personnel
• Assist key business stakeholders in analyzing the need for new development projects, enhancements for existing systems and in creating project requests
• Create and explain business and system process workflows in terms of solution design
• Work to identify opportunities to transform and improve existing processes through automation and process optimization efforts.
• Lead stakeholders to identify and capture requirements, differentiating needs vs. wants and relative priority.
• Conduct meetings with all levels of management for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.
• Perform necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility.
• Assist in the estimation and procurement of resource requirements (personnel, hardware and software) necessary during the life cycle of a project.
• Identify and make recommendations to close IT systems gaps.
• Help to develop project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth, including the development of alternative considerations leading to recommendations for new systems or equipment installations or changes to existing ones
• Collaborate with developers to ensure technical requirements and intended deliverables are executed as required to achieve intended business outcomes.
• Provide project management expertise through the project’s life cycle, from conception to implementations, training, post-go-live support and adoption follow-up
• Conduct meetings with stakeholders for presentations, reviews, and approvals
• Facilitate training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures
• Assist in the estimation and procurement of resources (personnel, hardware and software)
• Monitor performance for all aspects of project to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule
• Communicate and coordinate with customers during all project phases.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members & stakeholders in a timely fashion.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Define project success criteria & disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

Position Requirements

Business Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in a business analysis or project / program leadership capacity
• Experience generating process documentation and reports
• Experience with systems upgrades and systems implementations, ERP experience a plus
• Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions
• Able to explain technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
