Highlights:

  • Job location Irving, TX
  • 1st Shift only, Monday - Friday (6:00AM -10:00AM or 10:30AM - 02:30PM)
  • No weekends
  • 11 paid Federal Holidays (Prorated)
  • SCA hourly pay rate of $ 15.00 $4.60(H&W)/hr
  • H&W funds must be utilized for Medical, Dental, Vision, or 401 (k)

Summary: Performs repetitive, general file activities following written work procedures to produce accurate, complete, time-sensitive files. Refers problems and questions to their supervisor. The General Clerk I will perform the job functions under close supervision in a timely manner with acceptable quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Removes contents from envelopes/packages
  • Sort Files
  • Identify files for repair
  • Assemble physical files
  • Interfiles and fastens documents into files
  • Retrieve files
  • Generate manifests
  • Prepare files for shipping
  • Generate screen prints and barcodes
  • Perform searches and queries
  • Scans file barcodes
  • Verify data and updates data
  • Scans and adjust documents
  • Photocopy documents
  • Deliver files to identified destination
  • Update systems from barcode scanning or keying
  • Reviews file for final action steps and secures loose documents
  • Place files on shelves
  • Prepare materials for destruction
  • Knowledgeable of contract performance requirements and acceptable quality levels for assigned tasks to achieve contract compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must type 20 wpm with 98% accuracy
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination when federally mandated.
  • Stable job history required
  • Security clearance required
  • Good credit required
  • No felonies
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Physical labor involved moving boxes
  • US Citizenship required

  • The candidate is required to pass a Physical Capacity Test from an independent company of our choosing once the verbal job offer is made.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift boxes weighing between 21-50 lbs, regularly lift boxes weighing between 5-20 lbs, and occasionally lift boxes of files, individual files or bundles of paperwork weighing between 0-5 lbs. Frequently make repetitive hand and wrist motions while inserting/removing staples in large files, shaking files, or keyboarding. May sit or stand for long periods of time. Regularly required to reach overhead, with hands and arms, bend, twist, stoop and go up and down ladders with boxes of files weighing between 21-50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Employee will have close visual contact with a computer monitor constantly.
