• Be responsible for the development of IT solutions across all components of software systems through design, integration, implementation, and support
• Coordinate, develop, and integrate new systems in both physical and virtualized environments
• Develop and install upgrades to existing systems
• Develop scripts to improve system administration and deployment automation
• Troubleshoot issues and provide support across the information system

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 12 years experience or bachelors with 14 years experience or equivalent
• Active DOD SECRET clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
• Must Meet DOD 8570 Requirements (current Security or similar)
• COTS software deployment experience
• Familiarity with automation tools/scripting (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, IaC)
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and principles
• Familiarity with Virtual environments
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Interpersonal relationship skills are a must

Desired Requirements:

• PowerShell scripting experience highly desired
• Strong understanding and application of cybersecurity practices (STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.)
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration
• Container development expertise
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira/Confluence)
• Enthusiasm to learn new technologies

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
