Job Description:
Seeking multiple Systems Engineer (s) to become a key member of an Engineering team providing system engineering expertise, to develop and deploy an Infrastructure Framework for US Space Force.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work within a collaborative environment with systems development teams, system integrators, analysts, network architect, cybersecurity personnel, and configuration management personnel.
• Proactively resolve technical issues that could impact development schedules and overall performance of the framework applications.
• Apply knowledge of systems applications and software test methods to delineate and characterize system behavior.
• Develop tools, applications, scripts, and architectures to support the testing and execution of the framework.
• Adhere to the Systems Development Lifecycle
• Participate in and potentially conduct technical meetings and working groups
Experience and Certifications:
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering OR five (3) or more years’ practical experience with systems development.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain one up to TS/SCI
Requirements:
• Must be willing to take the Poly
• Must be willing to work on site
• Must have an active secret clearance (or ability to obtain one)
• Must be willing to work in a lab environment
• Knowledge of C , Java, Python, Fortran, SQL, Oracle, Cameo, Sparx EA
• Knowledge of framework implementation
• Experienced in Configuration Management tool such as Subversio, git, or bitbucket.
• Able to work contentedly and effectively with team members within the same organization, including other DOD contractors and government leads, as well as teams and individuals from outside organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desired Skills:
• Prior modeling and simulation (M&S) experience
• Active TS with SCI eligibility
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash, AWK, sed, Perl, Python.
• Full stack development
• Experience with Agile and Test-driven design methodologies
• Security plus certification
