Island Creek Associates, LLC is Hiring an Electrical Engineer - Senior (22-048) Near Jacksonville, FL

Summary:

Island Creek is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as member of a multidisciplinary team of facilities technical experts providing advice and assistance services to Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE), Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL), Engineering and Design Division (DC4), located at Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, FL. This is a contingent position pending contract award.

Functional Duties:

Provide expert advice and technical assistance in the following:

  • Preparation of planning, design, and construction documentation to facilitate compliance with Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria and Unified Facility Guidance Specifications.
  • Developing engineering concepts, principles, and practices as they apply to a wide range of facilities including naval waterfront facilities and naval aviation facilities.
  • Draft project specifications, designs, drawings, studies, reports, analyzes, and any other related project documentation.
  • Assist in the planning and programming of construction or repair of real property improvements or facilities including development of required documentation.
  • Participate in meetings, site visits, partnering sessions, and related activities during planning, design, and construction as required.
  • Perform condition assessment inspections, investigations, and evaluations of real property facilities programs and projects.
  • Review and provides feedback on work performed by others including the review of design drawings, specifications, and all other construction documents.
  • Monitor existing projects to ensure successful and timely completion with respect to schedule and budget.

Required Education:

Master of Science in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Required Certification/Licensing:

None

Required Experience:

Must have ten (10) years of experience performing duties in the electrical engineering discipline.

Desired Skills/Abilities:

Professional experience working with the Department of Defense facilities is highly desired.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours a day, normally performed between 6am-5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Regional travel less than 25% of the time is expected for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional visits to construction sites.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

The ability to favorably complete a Tier 3 background investigation (Fingerprinting, Law Enforcement and Credit Checks) is required in order to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC) used for access to Military Bases/Facilities and Government IT Systems.
