We're hiring a Geospatial Analyst to bolster our growing organization in multiple locations, such as Minneapolis, Mankato, and Des Moines! This team member would work on a variety of projects within our Public Works, Water, Commercial, and other business units while utilizing innovative LiDAR equipment and software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Proficiency classifying and processing LiDAR point cloud data
• Process LiDAR sensor data into point clouds, adjusting to survey control, QA/QC reporting
• Extract mapping features from photogrammetry, mobile and terrestrial point clouds to create base map deliverables for design or other planning activity
• Create Digital Terrain Models from registered point cloud data
• General operating knowledge of traditional survey equipment, terrestrial scanners, mobile scanners and other LiDAR equipment
• Provide positive client/public relations as individuals are encountered at the jobsite
• Be an accountable, eager, and creative employee owner!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering, Geography, Survey or Geospatial degree preferred. ASPRS Certification preferred
• Two or more years of experience in registering, classifying, and processing LIDAR point cloud data (aerial and/or mobile)
• Experience with feature extraction and DEM creation
• Experience processing airborne/terrestrial LiDAR datasets
• Proficiency with one or more of the following mapping software: TerraSolid (TerraScan, TerraModeler), Microstation/AutoCAD, TopoDOT, and/or other LiDAR processing software
• Land Survey experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel out of town for projects
