The Position:

We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to complement our Corporate Human Resources Benefits and Compliance team. The Intern is expected to meet established goals and objectives by safely completing work assignments that are planned, organized, and analyzed for optimum results. The Human Resources Assistant performs a variety of duties as a member of the HR Team; the primary function of this role is to provide administrative and clerical support to both the Benefits and Compliance Units. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Assist in processing documentation by scanning, attaching, and entering the ERP system.
• Assist the Benefits department with hire-in and termination processing.
• Answers employee requests and inquiries, in person, on the telephone, and by email in a friendly and professional manner:
  • Transfers calls to appropriate individual
  • Shares basic information (i.e., company addresses, contact number, etc.)
  • Maintain database of telephone employment inquiries
  • Checks the fax machines on a daily; sends out faxes upon request. May call addresses to ensure a fax was received or to prompt a sender to resend a document that is unreadable.
  • May check shared email inboxes.
  • May fill-in and cover for receptionists.
  • Shreds documents.
  • Performs other administrative functions as assigned.

• Able to use multiple software packages (Viewpoint by VISTA, Microsoft Office Suite)
• Perform duties in an office setting
