RevolutionEHR, a business unit of Integrated Practice Solutions (IPS) is adding an Associate Software Engineer-Intern to our team! The Associate Software Engineer-Intern plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, publishing, implementing, and automating test plans prior to product releases and helping to ensure our software runs smoothly and meets user’s needs.

Job Duties

• Write and maintain automation code using an automation framework built on Selenium WebDriver for execution of scripts on desktop browsers.
• Work effectively in cloud-based software application environments.
• Work with product development, product owners, and UX designers to implement user stories for new cloud offering using modern web technology.
• Review software requirements and designs and develop test scenarios to be executed for user stories during sprints.
• Uncover potential issues that a user might encounter when running the software, assist in developing solutions for the issues before the software is released.
• Record and document test results and expected results within JIRA.
• Participate in an Agile development lifecycle, including daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint review, etc.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's standards.
• Able to move between priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results.

•  Work with QA Automation Engineers to ensure high quality standards are met

Qualifications:

• Software engineering fundamentals (A.S. or B.S. in Computer Sciences in progress, or equivalent skills and knowledge).
• Exposure of automation frameworks based on Selenium WebDriver.
• Knowledge of Java, Kotlin and Object-oriented concepts.
• Exposure to scrum and agile methodologies.
• Problem solving skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of API testing strategies.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
• Strong work ethic, expressed through the willingness and ability to acquire new skills, multitask, and take on projects outside immediate areas of expertise.
• Strong initiative, able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to move between priorities in a fast paced environment and deliver high quality results.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret test results and diagnose defect-related issues.
