IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support for IT procurements and project initiatives.

Tasks:

• Liaison between staff to capture business requirements from a variety of sources, reviews and understands current system functionality, interviews end users and subject matter experts; reviews policy/procedure manuals and business process descriptions.
• Ensure projects meet established objectives to benefit functional users.
• Define and document IT requirements for purposes of an RFP and post-RFP.
• Review / Revise requirements and mappings with Project Team.
• Capture meeting minutes and document clear and concise requirements.
• Assist with Governance review and documentation.
• Draft and develop a high-level technical architecture document and submit to assigned subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Meet with users and SMEs on a recurring basis.
• Develop and draft a high-level project plan.
• Identifies potentially new system functionality to support business needs.
• Prepares user help documentation and/or manuals.
• Organizes facts and findings, and presents such information in clear and logical form, orally, and through clearly written communication.

Location: Springfield, IL (Must reside within 90 mil radius of Springfield)

Contract: 2 years

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Recent and proven experience involving IT projects with a minimum of five (5) years within the past ten 10 years working with public sector agencies.
• Three (3) or more years’ of experience diagraming detailed, formal requirements including Current State Cross-Functional Process Flows; Future State Cross-Functional Process Flows; Use Case Models; Data Flow Models; SWOT; Business Objective Models; Cause/Effect, Fishbone Diagrams, etc
• Three (3) years’ experience gathering IT requirements from client / business partners
• Three (3) years of work experience with Illinois state agencies in an IT Business Analyst role.
• Three (3) years’ experience working on Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio or equivalent software applications.
• Current and active International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certification
