As a Software Development Intern at Intrusion, you will enhance your programming and critical thinking abilities as you apply your software development skills to real-world cyber security challenges that directly impact products and customers. Projects involve direct contribution to product features, analyzing Big Data sets, automating workflows, and solving scalability challenges. Opportunities in the roles of:

• Full stack cloud developers 
• High performance computing
• Network engineering
• Data science
• Cybersecurity engineering

The position is a full-time position for the duration of the internship. 

Requirements

Required Education/Experience 

• Enrolled in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology related fields
• Demonstrable programming experience in a modern programming language
• Right to work in the United States without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications 

• A self-motivated, driving interest to explore how technology works
• Experience writing programs in Python, Go, Java or Javascript
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and asynchronous processing
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Internet architecture, including IP address and domain name allocations, how DNS, HTTP and TCP/IP work
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and best practices
• Familiarity with software version control systems
• Clear, effective writing and presentation skills
