Pay: $19/Hour


This rapidly growing company seeks enthusiastic and reliable Site Manager to work in one of our client’s sites. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, yet also be a team player. We encourage you to apply if you are looking to advance your career in a fast-growing company.


Job tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, organize, and direct team members to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the daily activities of the janitorial department to include appropriate cleaning of all designated areas.
  • Assure the site comes in on budget hours each pay period.
  • Communicate and work closely with home office to improve the operations and employee experience.
  • Daily supervision of the janitorial and facility staff.
  • Communicate and report to Director or Operations Manager (direct report) on weekly basis.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and perform all special project work for assigned site.
  • Responsible for submitting and approving your sites payroll hours timely and accurately, according to Interstate’s Policies and Procedures. Assure all direct reports are independently clocking in and out.
  • Responsible for managing disciplines and performance and documenting according to Interstate’s Policies and Procedures; coordinating with HR for assistance when necessary.
  • Enforce all Policies and Procedures and be a champion of the Company Handbook/Code of Conduct.
  • Responsible for the allocating hours works by cost center.
  • Responsible for the training, hiring, disciplining, and firing of employees. Conduct continual training for staff.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
  • Certify employees on equipment.
  • Conduct scorecard walks, building inspections, and creating reports for client.
  • Responsible for communicating building information and appearance to upper management.
  • Daily communication with clients via phone and email; meet with clients in person weekly, bi-weekly or monthly as determined by the RDO
  • Maintain supplies and inventory.
  • Enforce all safety rules, procedures, and precautions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; plans for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior floor experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing a janitorial team through motivation, coaching and development
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the janitorial industry
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize Paylocity and other technology as directed and required for the role.
  • Proven experience supervising housekeeping departments of 15 employees.
  • Ability to maintain a budget.
  • Ability to sell additional services to clients.
  • Capable of using independent judgment/solid decision-making skills ability.
  • Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Activator/self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
  • Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask.
