Internova Travel Group is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near New York, NY
Overview
The Accounting Specialist will support the accounting team in all functions relating to the agent commission statement and payment. This position handles all commission payments, adjustments, and inquires for GTC advisors regarding their monthly statements.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile and calculate commissions due to independent contractors and affiliates
- Process monthly payments to independent contractors
- Review and resolve adjustments and inquiries requested by independent contractors
- Onboard new independent contractors
- Prepare and file 1099/1098 forms for all independent contractors of the company
- Partner with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause and offering potential solutions
- Monitor Service Desk and make sure all tickets are closed in a timely manner
- May assist in other accounting functions and special projects as time and workload permits
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1 years of accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Intermediate to Advance Excel Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinker, with autonomy and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in Agresso and NetSuite a plus
- Knowledge of the travel industry a plus
