As a Tech Lead at Nolo, you will lead the e-commerce platform team that serves the direct-to-consumer business. The team’s charter is to build robust and innovative e-commerce solutions for the various products and services Nolo offers its customers.
Nolo’s direct-to-consumer business is pursuing multiple new initiatives, and the e-commerce platform is pivotal to the program. We intend to build a platform that is a delight to use for the customers, effective for internal business operations, and scalable for new business initiatives.
The team is building out the e-commerce platform based on Shopify. We do not expect you to know Shopify, but we do expect you to learn the platform.
Basic Qualifications:
- Hands-on technical leadership experience with 5 years in shipping web applications.
- Great communication skills, especially technical writing.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as PHP, Node
- Ability to wrangle data - DB schema design, data migration, and analysis.
- Strong foundational in web technologies - APIs, security, web servers, browsers, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and or Magento
- Experience with frameworks such as Laravel.
- Comfortable working with Docker/Kubernetes etc.
- Applying data structures to real-world problems.
