Overview

This position is responsible for transporting materials between Anderson / Greenville Facilities and 3rd Party Customers; working closely with Manufacturing Operations, Customer Service, and Purchasing.

• This position is a 12-hour day shift position that works 6AM - 6PM, two days on, two days off, and every other weekend.
• This position begins each shift at our Dairy Drive location in Greenville.
• Sit-down and stand-up forklift experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. 
• Make local trips, delivering and picking up of materials in Greenville areas, documenting arrival and departing times at each facility.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. 
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. 

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. 
• Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. 
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions. 
• Load and unload trucks whenever necessary 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 
• Class A drivers license 

• 1 year previous driving experience with Class A drivers license 
• Class A drivers license required 
• Knowledge of the Greenville, SC area 
• Ability to operate all Dock and Warehouse equipment safely and efficiently 
• Must foster and display a positive attitude towards team work and professionalism 

• Demonstrate proficiency in RF and computer software programs 
• Display excellent communication skills
• Haz-Mat certification is highly preferred.
