The International Institute of St. Louis seeks to hire a Behavioral Health Case Manager to provide trauma-informed, person-centered services to newly arrived refugees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform as an active member of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• Provide case management, including but not limited to; referrals, care access, benefits assistance, DV/ violence intervention services
• Provide behavioral health education using culturally informed methods
• Conduct home visits and assist clients with navigating resource systems in the community
• Facilitate behavioral health education groups for adolescents
• Maintain documentation of all services provided within the agency database
• Maintain enrollment and outcomes data required per grant funding

Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths based service frameworks
• Suicide risk safety planning experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality practices
• Strong ability to remain calm during crisis
• Boundary setting
• Knowledge of community resources
• Ability to work both independently as well as within a team
• Bilingual/Multi-lingual preferred but not required (preferred languages include Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Ukrainian, Russian)

Education and Experience

• BA/ BS in a social work related field (social work, sociology, psychology, anthropology)
• 2 years of experience working with international populations preferred
• 2 years experience working in behavioral health or social services settings
