Exercise a background in compete federal agency digital modernizations to support a wide variety of delivery needs and a diverse set of stakeholders
Own a set of roles and adopt ownership of different components of our Program Management Office (PMO)
Flexibly complete work in different areas of the PMO based on the client's current needs and the upcoming milestones of the digital modernization
Drive the complete process of discovery, stakeholder interviews, and comprehensive definition for functional and technical requirements related to data management, site content, and other workstreams within the digital modernization
Understand and support the planning of data management workflows and data quality guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in client data sets
Collect and synthesize information across relevant federal mandates, existing agency guidelines, platform specifications, and other areas to evaluate new dataset and website content policies and processes
Translate complex and technical concepts tied to cloud data services and website content management into focused and understandable takeaways for a low data-maturity client
Exercise a background with education, infrastructure, or statistical client enterprise datasets
Find and bring to bear best practices, technical thought leadership, and insights collected across disconnected corners of client agency to outline implementation solutions and write viable recommendations.
Collaborate and produce work outputs within an agile delivery environment, navigating and adding value to the common agile ceremonies, artifacts, roles, etc..
Exercise a complete grasp of and then test functional and technical requirements for core digital modernization concepts, such as website, database, cloud data services, COTS systems, reports and analytics platforms, end user search, and more
Problem solve, provide client advisory, and design solutions in an independent and autonomous nature
Work directly with team leadership and individual team members to drive the week-to-week operations of the team and support ongoing client demands
Synthesize client deliberations and feedback into actionable to-do’s, alignment checks, timelines, etc.. while tracking progress with the client and team leadership
Develop presentations and other supporting documents designed to facilitate client meetings. Pair with succinct talk tracks that equip other team members or the client to lead meetings and build consensus
Work hand-in-hand with client IT resources to proactively identify and mitigate blockers and risks to the digital modernization
Work within cross-functional program teams to identify appropriate business solutions to client challenges
Collaborate with PMO to understand evolving agency modernization needs and develop possible solutions
Generate clear, actionable documentation that enables self-guided execution
Maintain good working relationships with client stakeholders and staff to effectively deliver engagement services
What You Will Need:
U.S. Citizenship is required
1 year(s) of professional work experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of professional work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
Ability to work independently or as a member of a project team
Excellent problem-solving, communications and presentation skills
Strong customer focus with the ability to work with technical teams and business users alike
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
This role requires working at either a Guidehouse office or client site in the Washington, DC, metro area at least 3 days/week
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Professional services experience with federal agencies, preferably in consulting
Exercise an educational background in data-centric fields such as analytics, data management, systems analysis, data processing and operations
Strong communication skills: ability to be well-organized, clear and concise in conversations and written communication
Experience in delivering quality work on time with multiple, competing priorities
