Overview

IDG, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting Team in our Needham, MA office. Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the accounting staff at corporate, this position will support our business units as well as various other projects for the corporate accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month end closing journals in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare closing financials, P&L and Balance Sheet, for the business units
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Support cash flow management and banking transactions such as ACH and wires
• Prepare quarterly balance sheet variance analysis
• Support business units with questions and ad hoc reporting requests
• Support financial audits as required
• Support worldwide reporting as required
• Provide quality and timely customer service and respond to requests from Corporate group including Reporting, Tax, Finance, Credit, Benefits and IT as well as the business units and International Controller’s Office.
• Participate in special projects as required, such as ad hoc reporting, ASC 842, ASC 606, Internal Software Capitalization, and the D365 implementation project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5-7 years of public or private accounting experience
• CPA is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of ERP system, Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft D365 is a plus
• Experience in a multi-facility, worldwide organization is a plus
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Self-motivated, willing to learn all facets of the business
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and work as a team
• Understanding of the full accounting cycle including sales, billing, AP, AR and payroll
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills for communicating issues to management
• Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
