International Council on Clean Transportation is Hiring a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (U.S.) Near San Francisco, CA

The ICCT is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to lead on organizational budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for our global nonprofit. You will be responsible for managing our Workday Adaptive Planning platform. You will be based in either our Washington, DC or San Francisco office, report to the Director of Finance and Accounting, supervise our Financial Analyst and work with program and operations staff at all levels of the organization.

You Will:

  • Working with the leadership and utilizing your financial analysis and forecasting skills, develop the annual organizational budget of more than $20 million and track performance against it
  • Create actionable reports, including monthly reports for project managers on project spending against budget, management reports concerning overspends, underspends, variances to budgets, and future spending trends, and, in coordination with the Program Services Manager, real-time staffing projections
  • Oversee financial reporting to funders
  • Develop organizational metrics to apply to current spending trends to forecast future spending
  • Collaborate with the development team to maintain a three-year funding outlook and identify funding trends and gaps
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Accounting to develop long-term cash forecasts
  • Lead on international currency considerations, for example, applying currency conversion rates in Intacct (accounting system) and Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Organize and lead quarterly meetings with ICCT’s 20 project managers to identify and discuss budget issues for short- and long-term projects
  • Provide audit support for revenue and other project-related questions
  • Supervise a Financial Analyst

You Have: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 5 years of experience. A Master’s degree in a relevant field, or in the process of gaining one, is preferred
  • Advanced experience in Workday Adaptive Planning, including the ability to serve as a system administrator and create complex reports
  • Conducted project reporting in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
  • Developed and/or implemented new financial reports, dashboards, processes, or tools based on historical data, market trends, and business needs
  • Familiarity with a cloud-based accounting system (ICCT uses Intacct)
  • Worked collaboratively with staff across a company or organization, including management and staff with limited finance and budgeting expertise
  • Experience or interest in working at an international nonprofit. Experience living or working outside of the US and/or fluency in another language is a plus.

Our Benefits

This full-time position will be based in our Washington, D.C or San Francisco, CA office. Salary starts at $110,700 (DC) or $121,800 (SF), based on experience. We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, substantial paid vacation, retirement contribution with generous 7% employer contribution, transportation subsidies, remote working flexibilities and other benefits.
