Description

Our company is looking for an energetic and goal-driven individual with a passion to perform purchasing functions. This is an entry level position.

This position is meant to assist with a variety of duties that will help to streamline the buying/expediting process within our United Visual Products (UVP) division. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable new skill sets for a market representing 1/3 of the U.S. economy and one of the fastest growing divisions within our company.

General Duties:

  • Process purchase orders verifying cost, unit of measure, and availability
  • Handle any problems that are delaying the order from being processed
    • Unit of measure discrepancy between sales order and purchase order
    • Cost increase from vendor
    • Inaccurate shipping addresses
    • Shipping method
  • Follow up with vendor to get scheduled ship dates
  • Follow up to make sure scheduled ship dates are met
  • Processing of returns
  • Investigating and solving any problems with the orders
  • Keep accurate inventory data
  • Product sourcing of new and existing components
  • BOM creation
  • Order confirmation and expediting 

Miscellaneous

  • Quarterly pricing updates from vendors
  • Updating discontinued products from vendor
  • Work with accounting to solve any invoicing problems
  • Work with vendors on new product submissions
  • Keep backorder report to a minimum
