IME is a well-established electrical contractor, in business since 1946. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our growing organization who is a self-starter with strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and commitment to operational excellence. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the overall success, budgets and day-to-day operation of Fleet and Tools & Equipment for our Reno office. They will also oversee the planning, organizing, receiving, storage and distribution of all items coming in or leaving the warehouse for job use.


Tools and Fleet

  • Provide direction over day-to-day operation of Tools & Equipment, Fleet departments
  • Ensure effective coordination between Tool and Equipment, Fabrication teams to ensure that the proper tools, equipment, and supplies are ordered in a precise and timely fashion.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient warehouse flow, inventory management and tracking of all departments
  • Manage standard vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
  • Manage vehicle tracking software and ensure safe and proper use of company equipment
  • Establish, manage, maintain, and enforce uniform procedures and standards for tools, fleet, maintenance, inventory, ordering etc.


Leadership of function: 

  • Develops and communicates department goals and individual team member expectations.  Lead employees using coaching, performance management, and a development process that encourages employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and career development planning.


  • Monitor and manage all departmental email distributions to ensure communication, accuracy, and completion of all requests
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, VMI, preferred agreements, standard vendors etc. throughout departments
  • Develop, forecast, manage, and maintain Tool and Fleet departments overall performance and annual budget
  • Continually seek industry and market information to build and improve SOPs
  • Reconcile inventory to ensure full utilization of all IME assets
  • Identify process improvements to department efficiency and potential cost-saving and inventory streamlining opportunities.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s logistics management systems.
  • Position may involve kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and DOT physical


  • Five years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management preferred.
  • Experience in standard vehicle maintenance and proper repair procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Warehouse or shipping and receiving experience desired


 Working Conditions and physical abilities

Most of the time you will work in a warehouse environment, the remainder of the time you will be driving or on construction job sites. You will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  Proper PPE will be provided.

  • Requires frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate verbal and in writing in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Occasional stooping and bending
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.


Salary Range: $ 55,000 – 90,000
