Interfuse Staffing is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer Near Saint Louis, MO

Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a full time mechanical engineer of building HVAC Systems to join our dedicated team of professionals focused exclusively on providing the highest quality professional consultant services locally and nationally. We specialize in the design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering systems. We are looking for an engineer with proven experience in new construction, as well as upgrading and retrofitting these systems.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field in construction industry.

  • 2-7 years of experience designing and drafting HVAC systems is required.

  • PE registration is a plus.

  • Plumbing design experience is a plus.

  • Experience in designing medical gas systems is a plus.

  • Autodesk Revit experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience in AutoCAD is required.

  • Knowledge and experience in Carrier HAP Load program is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.

  • Perform field survey work.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing/drafting building mechanical systems utilizing Revit/AutoCAD with a supervision by a Senior Engineer.

  • Perform heating/cooling/ventilation load calculations analysis to ensure compliance with project design criteria and all applicable building codes.

  • Engineering of HVAC systems from concept point of projects through construction completion.

  • Selection of HVAC equipment with a supervision by a Senior Engineer.

  • Assist Senior Engineer in developing mechanical systems and equipment specifications.

  • Prepare engineering studies and evaluations. Assist Senior Engineer in preparation of engineering reports.

  • Participate in project coordination with plumbing, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.

  • Survey existing facilities for a verification of building systems as-built conditions.

  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communications skills with motivation and an eagerness to learn.

  • Supervise a mechanical designer/drafter on bigger projects.
