Our solutions reach beyond traditional Satcom and into the broader field of Telecom, harnessing the dual powers of space and terrestrial-based connectivity to ensure communication advantages for our users.

To accomplish our goal, we are looking for a proven marketing strategist to lead the development and execution of the company’s overall marketing plan including objective setting, message development, thought leadership, promotional product campaigns, and all forms of tactical outreach (from digital to PR to live events). Our aim is to increase brand awareness and drive demand for IGC’s connectivity solutions with government market users operating in land, sea, air and integrated domains. The strategist will work in close alignment with key IGC stakeholder groups including executive leadership, business development, sales, product and channel management and with Intelsat’s corporate marketing and communications teams for content development and implementation support.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing plan for IGC’s government market, leveraging Intelsat’s brand equity, digital / social outreach, live events, conferences, public relations, product awareness / lead-gen campaigns and more.
  • Lead the development of IGC’s corporate messaging and thought leadership platform adapting Intelsat corporate messaging for government audiences and integrating IGC’s vision and other content priorities.
  • Collaborate with business and product management teams to plan and launch new products and solutions and evolve positioning and propositions of existing products in accordance with the product lifecycle.
  • Establish a regular and dynamic system of communication to inform and engage IGC leaders and team on the marketing plan and outreach activities.
  • Develop and execute product lead-gen campaigns for direct and indirect sales.
  • Monitor competitive offerings, assess and integrate findings into product marketing plans and messaging.
  • Drive marketing initiatives to grow revenue and guide future product roadmaps to address new market opportunities.

You should definitely have:

  • University Degree in Marketing or Business (or equivalent amount of education/work experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in corporate and/or product marketing with demonstrated knowledge of the satellite industry and US defense markets.
  • Experience with and the ability to effectively develop and communicate go-to-market plans and messaging across multiple constituencies inside the organization and externally to differing government segments and geographies.
  • A proactive, independent thinker and self-motivated approach
  • Strong team player and leadership skills to push important initiatives, and mission accountability for driving product portfolio adoption.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in MS PowerPoint.

It would be nice if you had:

  • Prior experience developing market strategy for a US defense market systems integrator
