Technical Architect

Location: Anywhere in the United States

Intellective is looking for new teammates to join our team. As a Technical Architect at Intellective, you will assist in creating technical specifications, and provide support, troubleshooting, and implementation services during client engagements. This is a hands-on role: you will code for either back-end support or user-interface functionality. The ideal candidate has development experience in prior projects and will be expected to develop prototypes and guide senior developers during implementation.

Here’s What You’ll be Doing

  • Produce affordable and supportable technical architecture design to support overall solution architecture needs/business requirements
  • Account for the infrastructure integrity within an IT solution context, while managing design dependencies and impacts of change
  • Assist Solution and Enterprise architects as needed to ensure the IT components are aligned to the target operational and architectural models
  • Lead the infrastructure architecture and design on medium and large sized programs, projects or bids, ensuring that the infrastructure components support the overall solution architecture needs/business requirements
  • Analyze and explain the risks involved in adopting certain technology solutions
  • Produce or modify standard designs to meet client needs while maintaining recognized industry and/or Intellective standards
  • Raise and remediate issues with suppliers and designers
  • Contribute significantly to more complex solutions and lead implementation or components within the design
  • Ensure quality in project deliverables
  • Partner with Intellective staff and clients to ensure successful project completion
  • Escalate issues in a timely fashion and suggests alternative approaches
  • Maintain high customer focus and manage customer expectations in a responsive manner
  • Communicate project status according to project communication plan
  • Exhibit flexibility by handling different tasks in the project

We’re Excited About You Because You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field
  • 6-8 years’ hands on experience with the following:
    • Database platforms
    • Middle-Tier Platforms
    • Certified on ECM solutions, preferably IBM BAW/Case Manager stack
    • Java/J2EE
    • DHTML, JavaScript
    • Web application servers
    • SQL
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
