Overview

i3 is seeking a mid-level System Administrator to support the test and integration lab for the U.S Air Force MJAT Program at Redstone Arsenal. This is not a helpdesk position. This trainer system is widely used throughout the Air Force and Air National Guard and is fast-paced, release oriented program with a long term and stable workflow. The candidate will provide Windows, Linux and VMware systems administration support for a software test and integration lab.

Responsibilities

Candidate should have hands on Windows administration experience to include: Domain Controllers; WSUS; Linux Red Hat and VMware products. You should possess excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of physical and virtual computer hardware and operating systems.

You will work in a small team with engineers, software testers and other stake holders to support a large software test and integration facility. You will provide: system administration support to a combination of physical and virtual systems, work with the cyber security team, specify new hardware and software requirements. 

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar with 2 years’ experience
• Certifications and Experience may be substituted for a Degree
• Certifications to include: CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , MCSA, or similar certifications
• MS Windows 7, 10, or Server 2019 system administration including MS Windows 7, 10, or Server 2019 system administration, Domain administration and WSUS
• Familiarity with Red Hat Linux 
• VMware VCenter administration and ESXi server installation and configuration and installation and configuration of Virtual Machines
• MS Office skills including Visio
• Active SECRET security clearance required

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing images, backups, and deployments
• Scripting experience with powershell to include Desired State Configuration, is a plus
• Network experience to include understanding of switches, firewalls, and network interfaces is desired
