Integrated Pain Management Medical Group, Inc. is Hiring a Medical Director Clinical Services Near Morgan Hill, CA

SUMMARY:
The Medical Director, Clinical Services is responsible for collaborating in the design of, implementation and oversight of BHC’s standard of care and all clinical practices across the organization. As a senior Clinical leader, ensures that quality, patient care, provider utilization, and standards are optimized at every Boomerang clinic. Partners with Regional Medical Directors and Rehabilitation Program leaders in driving clinical strategy and major change initiatives throughout the organization.
Maintains direct oversight of and provides leadership to key Clinical functions, to include Quality and Client Relations, Clinical Research, Medical and Surgical Services, and Care Navigation. Ensures that Boomerang is operating in full compliance with all standards, laws, patient safety standards, and medical best practices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in establishing and implementing clear standards and expectations for the professional performance of providers
  • Optimizes clinic operations specific to physician and APP work schedules/utilization in partnertship with Operations regional leadership
  • Identifies and implements medical and surgical clinical treatment strategies and practices to optimize patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner
  • Collaborates with a broad range of Clinical and Operations leaders to prioritize initiatives and identify the appropriate implementation plans for all quality, saftey, and patient care initatives
  • Leads the Clinical Advisory Committee?yes and sets priorities across all applicable sub-committes to ensure effective implementation of all improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Oversee Clincal Quality and Client Relations ensuring physician PR4 WC report writing, Case Management and Provider training
  • Partners closely with operations leaders responsible for Care Navigation program implimentation and operational performance.
  • Manage Research operations and administration in partnership with Reasearch Advisor ensuring quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance of each study.
  • Ensures that Clinical staff operate in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Collaborates with Clinical and Operations leaders in the onboarding of newly aquired practices; sets appropriate and customized performance expectations in collaboration with the practice
  • Based on defined Key Results targets, monitors KPIs and metrics to track and maximize performance; reports business performace data to the CMO and other key stakeholders as applicable
  • Champions and supports patient safety and patient experience initiatives, to include patient satisfaction and access
  • Collaborates in improvement initiatives related to Boomerang’s Matriculation Model of care, with an emphasis on performance, sustainability, comprehensive primary care delivery, quality performance, and patient experience
  • Participates in preparing annual clinical budget and forecasts growth among different service lines in the organization.

FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead annual workforce planning; forecast estimated incremental headcount needs; ensure that assigned managers, where applicable, have developed and are effectively implementing job-specific onboarding plans and that all new hires are appropriately onboarded.
  • Talent Development: As a manager of managers, ensure that each manager is proactively providing coaching and feedback to their employees; identify new and ongoing training priorities; partner with applicable internal and external resources to ensure that training efforts are yielding desired performance outcomes
  • Performance Management: Ensure that managers are defining specific performance expectations for their employees, and that there is clear alignment with each employee around annual goals and the specific measures that will be used to evaluate employee performance. Prepare and deliver annual performance evaluations to direct report employees; contribute to performance evaluations of “dotted line” reports
  • Culture: Provide clarity around each department’s purpose; highlight the importance of each employee’s contribution to Boomerang’s Vision and Mission; employ leadership practices that recognize and reward appropriate employee initiative and contribution; drive an accountable culture through own’s own words and actions


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Applicants possessing a valid license to practice medicine issued from another state within the United States of America may apply, but if selected, the candidate will NOT be appointed/hired until they obtain a valid license to practice medicine issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
    • This position require Board Certification in medical specialty areas including, but not limited to Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, etc.
  • Possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI)


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed clinical supervision training, and ongoing maintenance of clinical supervision CEUs.
  • 5 - 7 years in Clinical, Direct Patient care (hospital, outpatient, or private practice)
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience performing management, coordination, planning, and evaluation
  • Experience supervising clinical or administrative staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and work independently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must provide proof of COVID vaccination up to booster, or a medical/religious exemption and test weekly.


COMPENSATION RANGE:

$350,000-$450,000 annually

All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience and geographical locations.
