Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at ILC provide support to people with developmental disabilities in a variety of different environments.
Day Sites – Day shifts Monday through Friday -Full Time
DSPs who work at ILC day sites support individuals with planned activities that encourage community inclusion and habilitation. Whether the activities are group-based or individual-focused, DSPs ensure that the people ILC supports are working towards achieving their hopes and dreams while interacting with members of their local community. These DSPs work as a team to bring ideas to the table and create opportunities for volunteering, exploring local activities, and teaching skills that bring value and fulfillment. Being a DSP at an ILC day site provides an exciting opportunity to get involved with both the person(s) supported and your community.
Employee Responsibilities:
Residential Homes – Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends - Full-Time or Part-Time
DSPs who work in ILC residential settings have exciting opportunities to impact the daily life of the people they support at home. This role gives you the chance to create a positive environment with the person(s) supported that involves activities in the home and out in the community during the evenings and weekends. Activities might include planning meals and grocery shopping, completing daily household chores, and other activities that a person supported may choose to do at home. Community activities span from routine responsibilities like appointments to fun things like fishing. The duties of the overnight shifts depend on the needs of the home. Some overnight shifts are set up to allow the employee to sleep for a certain number of hours, getting up only as needed, other arrangements require the employee to stay awake for the entire shift.

Supported Services – Days, Evenings, Weekends – Possible Split Shifts - Full-Time or Part-Time
As a DSP with ILC working in Supported Services, you will be supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at their jobs, in the community, and in their homes. The job coaching component of this position focuses on supporting people in seeking and maintaining competitive employment, while in-home support can be a variety of day-to-day activities in the home and out in the community.
