Integra Water is looking for a dynamic and energetic utility manager to lead our Madison County, Alabama Operations. The Area Manager will build and manage the operations and maintenance team necessary to ensure excellence in operations and foster a team building approach to allow positive career development. The Area Manager will work directly with the executive team to establish operating and capital budgets to execute the organizational strategies.

Location: Huntsville Alabama (Meridianville Alabama)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the management and operation of multiple wastewater facilities to include wastewater plants, collection mains, grinder pumps and sewer lift stations, implementing operations process to assure compliance with ADEM’s permits.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, renewal and replacement of pumps, panels, machinery, and lines, both pressure and gravity.
• Establish and ensure compliance with a regular preventative and predictive maintenance program for all wastewater assets.
• Manages SCADA and GIS process to ensure proper oversight, performance, and locations of company assets.
• Serves as a resource to utility staff, providing them with direction and decision-making to maintain their goals and objections.
• Hire, direct, evaluate, promote, and discipline subordinate employees
• Construction management of multiple construction projects through the supervision of selected design and design personnel and/or organizations.
• Assist with the due diligence process, reviewing budget proposals, and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Provides management with updated analysis and projections on the status of capital projects focusing on the management of change, schedule compliance, cost control and major project highlights.
• Oversight of the responsible design vendor, during project conceptual and design phases relative to construction and budget matters.
• Participates in the pre-qualification and selection of the construction vendors for responsible projects using negotiation or a competitive selection process.
• Establish and manage the process for builder availability and final inspections to include grinder pumps that are requesting sewer service from the utility sewer system. 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Construction, Engineering, Business Administration) PE preferred.
• ADEM Grade II Wastewater Operator Certification or higher
• Minimum of 5 years of utility, construction, and/or development experience with industrial construction projects.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building and maintaining teams
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, CAD software and/or other industry and related software.
