Description:
Overview: Under minimal supervision, this position performs various support and technical duties to maintain the procurement/acquisition function at CCS. No supervisory responsibilities. No budgetary responsibilities. #IDAjobs
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement/Acquisition:
a. Searches for and secures information on product availability, procures vendors catalogs, and enters information into a data file.
b. Keeps abreast of new office equipment and/or services.
c. Processes purchase orders for materials, equipment and/or services of general nature. Verifies specifications for accuracy.
d. Contacts vendors for price availability, price comparison, and/or conducts negotiation, solicits bids, orders goods and services, follows through with orders under the guidance of the CCS Purchasing Administrator.
e. Records requisition requests, tracks purchases until completion, keeping purchasing logs current and accurate. Analyzes vendor invoices for consistency and accuracy.
f. Responds to inquiries from staff members and vendors. Tracks all outstanding purchases with daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
g. Evaluates quotation and proposals for compliance with requirements under the guidance of the CCS’ Purchasing Administrator. Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations necessary.
h. Prepares and processes purchasing actions such as PRs, POs, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, etc. under the guidance of the CCS Purchasing Administrator.
i. Reconciles credit card statements with all pertinent documentation.
2. Vendor Liaison:
a. Places orders with vendor(s), verifies prices.
b. Receives requests for services on equipment, arranges service calls, as directed, maintains service call log.
c. Informs management of problems or situations, as well as other day-to-day problems, affecting the Purchasing Department.
3. Stockroom - Maintains all office supply rooms/closets and ensures that appropriate supplies are available.
4. Mail Distribution – Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing U.S. mail and ensures that outgoing special handling mail (certified/ registered) is posted without delay.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required
