About the Role

At Insticator, our global team is growing! We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer who is highly skilled in JavaScript to focus on Insticator’s advertising system, specifically our monetization platform. Serving billions of impressions per month on a variety of websites with different audiences, we collect data from our publisher embed technology and use this data to serve better advertisements for our publishers. We are currently working with 2000 sites with different configurations, so we provide a single solution that allows us to create unique customizations. This allows us to tailor solutions per site. An end user will have a great experience no matter the client they use, as we support both desktop and mobile, plus we support a large range of browsing technologies. Our ad-serving technology is constantly evolving, as we enhance existing features, add new features, optimize performance, and test new ideas.

In this role you’ll be involved in planning, architecting, and ultimately releasing to production new products and features that will help drive this business forward. The work here is incredibly rewarding if you take pride in what you produce. You’ll slot into an incredibly efficient engineering team. An agile work environment with a well-defined workload, scope, and tasks that will have you focusing on what you need to do and producing great work within a two-week sprint cycle. This role is 100% remote with working hours in the Eastern (New York) time zone, primarily 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Research, architect, and build the next generation of the advertising management system
• Work on and transition from the existing advertising management system (Web app with Java backend) including ad server containers (Prebid.js with Vanilla Javascript)
• Willingness to learn common Ad Technologies (GAM, Prebid, Amazon)
• Integrate new bidder adapters from various Supply Side Platforms (SSP) we are testing with, and integrate the reporting API into the revenue management system.
• Use Google Ad Manager (GAM) API and APIs from SSPs to streamline automation.
• Work with video ads using SpringServe, JWPlayer, etc.
• Work on the internal analytics adapter to collect data for analysis purposes.
• Explore Mobile in-app solutions.
• Work on the integration between Insticator’s Demand Management Platform (DMP) and SSPs to set up a Private Marketplace (PMP) and direct deals with higher CPM.
• Work with our Ad Operations (Ad ops) team to solve issues with client integration and edge cases.
• Create tools and reports to provide better transparency across teams and identify issues from the reporting.
• Collaborate with other component teams within engineering, product, ad ops, and account management teams for all kinds of advertising-related challenges.

Qualifications

Professional Competencies

• 5 years of experience in web application development using JavaScript, TypeScript, or another relevant language
• Experience with one or more front-end web technologies such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Java, Scala, Go, Rust, etc.).
• Deep experience with a modern web stack, whether it's Javascript bundlers, React internals, etc.
• Proven familiar with software engineering best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, design, and documentation
• Experience in developing and maintaining web infrastructure is a plus. (e.g. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Familiarity with Prebid.js, and Google Ad Manager is a plus
• Experience in the ad tech industry is a plus
