A large healthcare retirement benefits organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Welfare Claims Supervisor to join their team in Henrico, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising Claims Adjusters, maintaining a workflow that ensures prompt and efficient handling of claims within deadline, assisting with problem claims and staff questions, training staff, conducting annual performance reviews, and handling personnel issues. This position is fully on-site 5 days/week
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing and management of health and welfare claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve claims processing efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor claims processing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless claims processing and management.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on claims processing performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare claims processing and management
- CEBS certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (CPT/HCPCS and ICD10), Federal and State compliance regulations, and individual Health Plan compliance requirements
