Position Summary

The Contracts Administrator will perform contract-related activities including review of medium complexity commercial/technical agreements and contracts for various customers. This candidate will need to have an editor’s eye with great attention to detail and a good handle on the English language. Specifically, review and revisions of various agreements, contracts/purchase orders, subcontracts, etc. This position additionally will include preparation and review of various other miscellaneous agreements/forms including pre-award/post award forms, non-disclosure agreements, consulting/service agreements, licensing agreements, memorandums of understanding, and teaming agreements. The successful candidate will be a team player, curious, self-motivated, communicative, and unafraid to directly interact with both internal and external stakeholders. This role will work closely with Business Development, Program Management, Accounting and Supply Chain. This is a hands-on position in a very dynamic and fast growing environment, start-up type of company, where everyone must contribute and wear many hats.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Draft, administer, and manage contracts that are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs; perform administrative duties related to securing/modifying contracts including, but not limited to:
    • Prepare pre-award and post-award forms to remain in compliance (as requested by customers) including coordinating responses from other departments (Quality Assurance, Information Technology, Security, etc.);
    • Review and revise a diverse array of contracts and prepare redlines of same (being able to back up any position within the Contracts department);
    • Draft contract sections, as necessary.
  • Draft and negotiate all types of agreements and contracts with support from others.
  • Document and track data on contracts and contract deliverables in CRM.
  • Organize and manage all contractual documents; ensure the organization’s contract documents are accurate, maintained and adhered to.
  • Draft handover presentations for Program Management/Engineering detailing contracts content, once secured.
  • Create contract summaries/checklists outlining the key contract requirements for the execution team (Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Packing & Shipping, etc.).
  • Multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce core contract management processes for request, execution and filing of documents.
  • Continuously improve and draft original language for standard templates, standard work, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Have a positive attitude being part of a team, valuing collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration or related field and/or relevant administrative duties experience is required.
  • 2 years of contracts experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and positive “can-do” attitude.
  • FAR, DFAR, ITAR and EAR knowledge is a plus.
  • Candidates will be submitted for background investigation for the purpose of being granted a U.S. security clearance*.
