Inn at Rockaway is Hiring a Front Desk Agent Near Pacifica, CA

Who wouldn't want to work a block from the beach?

The Inn at Rockaway is looking for a Front Desk Agent who will provide genuine customer service to our guests. You will greet, register and service guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be:

  • Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.
  • Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat, etc.).
  • Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers.
  • Quote and be familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates.
  • Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
  • Processing payments from guests.
  • Maintaining daily logs.
  • Maintain a balanced bank assigned from the hotel, handling cash and credit transactions with detail and accuracy.
  • Perform audit functions for the hotel so this position demands the ability to utilize all aspects of mathematics and accounting to balance the hotel’s income.
  • Transmit reports regarding financial information to appropriate parties.

We would like you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience or equivalent training required.
  • Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONTEXT

  • This shift will work both morning and mid shifts, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

We have followed CDC and California Hotel & Lodging Association cleaning guidelines throughout the property. Plus, we require all employee to have/receive COVID vaccinations.

  • Pacifica, CA 94044: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
