InJoy has been a leading provider of video and educational products to hospitals, institutions, independent childbirth educators, and healthcare providers since 1988. We have received numerous awards for outstanding products and services, as we set the standard for excellence in our field. 

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to help build fully-fledged platforms using a range of different technologies. This position will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing products and features. The Junior Software Developer is responsible not only for the development of critical features and systems, but also the maintenance and support of them.

Candidates are expected to write clean and functional code on the front and back end, as well as collaborate closely with the rest of the development team to ensure system consistency and create a great user experience. Reusable and maintainable code is a priority and collaboration with in-house Design and Content teams to optimize performance and usability is essential. This position will have direct impact on the stability and user experience of our products.

Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement, and test efficient and scalable code

· Problem resolution, scope determination, and coordination of multiple stakeholders and partners’ interests are an integral component of this role

· Collaborate with our Digital Product team on project definition, project tracking and other activities as assigned

· Help with our on-call initiatives to provide support to our clients

· Provide internal support for all products and assist various departments

Requirements

· 2 years of combined experience in web development; solving challenging problems and implementing new features from scratch

· Experience working in Agile development environments

· Comfortable working with both front and back-end languages

· Have knowledge of PHP

· Have knowledge of multiple front-end languages, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, and Vue is a plus

· Experience testing and debugging systems

· Motivated to learn and improve your skills

· Analytical and good at time management

· Good communication and problem-solving skills

· Technical degree or certification preferred
