Ingredion is hiring a Regional Training Specialist to lead all functional training at one (or more) manufacturing sites. As a part of this Global Manufacturing Training Team this role will support the development of a global manufacturing training program and will be accountable for executing the program at one or more manufacturing sites within the region. The Regional Training Specialist will be accountable for developing and delivering technical and compliance training for our manufacturing team members. This includes the development and delivery of high quality, effective learning standards in alignment with global leadership to apply at assigned site(s) to standardize training, operate on a common platform, and ensure consistency across the network. Key Responsibilities: Acts as a key member of the Global Manufacturing Training team to support the development of a global manufacturing training program, and successfully executes the program at assigned sites. Partners closely with local leadership (Plant Manager, HR Manager, etc.) to provide leadership and expertise for any site -functional training needs that may require additional local design and development. Owns all new employee on-boarding activities (including salaried and hourly) at assigned sites and ensures execution in alignment with global standards. Partners with peers and key subject matter experts in Safety, Quality, and other functions to identify training requirements and develop content in coordination with the global manufacturing training team to ensure consistency across sites. Provides guidance and direction, and supports the development of, site peer trainers (hourly associates,) by helping them achieve specific training plans, efficient development, and delivery of training, and creating a community of practice throughout training to effectively share best practices and resources across sites. If assigned to support multiple sites, will provide guidance and direction to local training points of contact (salaried or hourly). Supports Manufacturing's Continuous Improvement journey by developing curriculum, shop floor standards, and monitoring training effectiveness. Establishes a plan to keep regional content and training current for team members including refresher training as needed. Creates certification criteria and cadence for recertification of technical jobs. Develops with site input a global skills matrix for each role supporting job tiers in alignment with prioritized site training plans. When applicable, implements and maintains training software, programs, and vendor relationships. Ensures effective use of LMS, training reporting tools and training effectiveness while communicating training status updates and business impact. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENT Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, HR, OD, Psychology, Engineering, Operations, or similar related discipline. Three to five years of progressive experience as a learning & development practitioner. Three years of progressive experience in instructional design and learning program management. Demonstrated experience analyzing training needs, identifying performance gaps and root causes, and recommending solutions to achieve desired performance outcomes. Demonstrated technical competence through training and/or experience to provide perspective about prerequisites and adjacent projects/experiences to enhance the learning objectives. Proven project management skills and the ability to facilitate organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects. Experience coordinating learning and development activities throughout the organization; perform training administrative tasks in a Learning Management System (LMS). Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and successfully manage multiple priorities. Knowledgeable and proficient in all Microsoft office tools. Knowledgeable and proficient in collaboration and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, On24, etc.) Ingredion provides accommodations to job applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
