The Restorative Nurse is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and supervision of the restorative nursing program for the facility. The restorative nurse is the liaison between formalized therapy and nursing. The restorative nurse promotes a restorative nursing philosophy among all facility departments.
Essential Job Functions:
Education/Experience:
Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
Optional: Certification programs for Restorative Nurses are available through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) and Pathways etc. The AANAC and Pathways offers credentials such as Resident Assessment Coordinator – Certified and Certified Nurse Executive and Certified Restorative Nurses. In order to become certified, Restorative Nurses must complete a series of on-line courses and/or attend a certification course provided by an approved provider
