6.Provide fluid restriction breakdown to dietary and nursing.Determine resident's fluid preferences and communicate todietary.Order"No water pitcher at bedside".Refer toSS any non-compliance issue for further intervention.

B.MDS,CAAandCare Plans

TheDietTech isresponsible forcompleting theMDS, CAA,and CarePlansasscheduled. Weight loss care plansshouldbe updated in a timely manner.

C.TrayCards/ Indexes

TheDietTech is responsible forauditingevery month thattraycardsmatch thedietordersinthe Physician Orders Sheet.

D.DietEducation/NutritionPrograms

TheDietTechwillprovideeducationtoresidentsandfamilyasnecessary.TheDietTech may

furtherreferthistotheRD.

Nutrition/WeightManagementProgramsmaybeimplementedincoordinationwiththeSS/

Activity.

E.DiningRoom

TheDietTechisrequiredtomakediningroomroundsdailytomakesurethatresidents'dietorders

arefollowedandinterventionsforresidentwith weight lossesarcinplace.Issues identified during rounds will becommunicatedin writing to the DM/FSSand DON.

F.Weights

TheDietTech is responsiblefor enteringmonthlyweightsandcompleted inPCCevery 5thofeach month.

oEnterweeklyweightsforNAR,includingalladmissionsandreadmissions.

oRefer toRDanysignificant weight changes andfollow-up recommendations with nursing as necessary.

oLeadperson fortheNAR weeklymeetingandcompletion ofNAR meeting notesin PCC.

oInitiatePOCtaskimplementationof"AmountEaten"for residentsintheNARlist.

G.AssistinalllDPHVisits-Annual,Follow-upand/orComplaints.
