As a Temporary Background Adjudication Associate, you will have the rewarding opportunity to support candidates through the background check process. In coordination with several internal teams, you will guide candidates by explaining next steps and gathering any required documents through email, text, and phone communication. You will review background checks that require business approval prior to onboarding the candidate and when appropriate, complete adverse action paperwork and rescind offers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review individual background check results to ensure candidates meet the minimum requirements while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Work closely with Human Resources, Compliance, Licensing, and Onboarding Teams to ensure all candidates have been cleared to start work prior to day one
- Escalate background check results and candidate statements to Human Resources when appropriate
- Tactfully communicate with candidates through phone, email, and text regarding background check results and required next steps
- Effectively and empathetically complete the adverse action process and rescind offers when appropriate
- Show patience and kindness to deescalate concerned candidates
- Communicate candidate statuses to internal teams and update as appropriate in onboarding systems
- Complete research as appropriate for internal or client and carrier audits
- When required, assist with completing I-9 documents for new hires
- Work with a team in a diverse, high volume, and fast paced environment
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of administrative experience in a fast paced and high volume organization
- Onboarding or recruiting experience a plus
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and detailed correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
- Exceptionally strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Professional and courteous communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a self-paced, self-motivated team environment
- Able to overcome candidate frustrations while remaining calm and patient
- Willingness to learn and take direction and feedback
- Ability to be flexible based on business priorities and changing needs
- High school diploma or GED required
- College degree or some college preferred
