Indianapolis is Hiring a Class A CDL Driver Near Olathe, KS

We are searching for an energetic person who is committed to managing the entire delivery process while executing great customer service. The right candidate will bring a safe driving record and previous transportation experience to the table. Looking for 3 drivers for our Olathe, North Kansas City Missouri, and Blue Springs, Missouri locations. 

The Right Candidate Will Have:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, commercial driver’s license rules and regulations
• Experience of Single and Tandem Axle Day Cab, Straight Truck, Dump Truck, End Dump, Forklift, Strapping and Tarping
• Genuine care to courteously interact with customers and general public on a daily basis
• Strong attention and compliance rate to all safety operating practices
• Ability to work in a physical labor position in indoor/outdoor environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations and standards
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries and adhering to Agencies
• Courteously interacts with customers and/or the general public along the route to answer questions or respond to requests
• Works safely and follows safe operating practices, including lock out/tag out procedures to ensure proper operation of the truck, abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Completes and submits the vehicle condition report at the end of the shift
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
• Maintains and submits a DOT logbook, daily route/productivity sheet, and vehicle condition report (post-trip inspection sheet) as required by law or company policy
• Uses a key map and GPS to locate service addresses
• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers or businesses in a safe, timely manner

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Required: Valid Commercial Missouri Driver’s License, Class A/B
• Required: Medical Examiner’s Certificate – As required by the Department of Transportation
• Required: Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Required: Minimum of one-year verifiable CDL driving experience or a certificate of completion from an accredited truck driving school
• Required:  Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to DOT and Company standards
