Family Service Worker

Basic Function: Coordinates and assists in the implementation of the parent, family, and community engagement frameworks, promotes family engagement and school readiness goals within the Head Start program.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Must have a high school diploma and obtain a Family Services Credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field within 18 months of hire.
• At least one year previous experience in Social Services preferred.
• Must exhibit adequate knowledge of available county, state and federal services.
• Must be willing to travel extensively throughout Indiana county.
• Experience working with low income community preferred.

Must be able to pass a complete background check. Including Child Abuse, State Police, Fingerprinting, Physical, Drug Test, TB Test and Sex Offender Check.
