INCOG BioPharma Services is Hiring a Senior Calibration Technician Near Fishers, IN

INCOG BioPharma Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Calibration Technician to join our Facilities and Engineering Department. The Senior Calibration Technician’s primary responsibility is to efficiently and safely preserve the condition, calibration status, and functionality of our facility’s equipment and instruments. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude with a good eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and superb troubleshooting skills.
The Senior Calibration Technician will work independently and methodically to ensure equipment is safe for operation and instruments are calibrated to appropriate ranges/industry standards. They will have in-depth knowledge of calibration methodology, basic electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving, exceptional communication, and organizational skills. They should demonstrate leadership skills that indicate their ability to mentor and motivate others in the organization. They will possess a demonstrated ability to influence positive outcome without direct reporting authority. The Senior Calibration Technician is a key individual contributor role within INCOG Facilities and Engineering Department.
Key responsibilities:
• Maintain & inspect all instruments throughout the facility including, but not limited to: HVAC, Water-for-injection (WFI) system, compressed gases, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, plant steam / chilled water systems and laboratory instruments (as required).
• Manage the calibration status of all instruments via a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Perform routine and unplanned calibration activities.
• Resolve issues that arise in day-to-day running of plant systems and process equipment instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues & perform corrective maintenance, as needed.
• Communication corrective actions across functions and define solutions to minimize system downtime and prevent recurrence.
• Schedule and coordinate calibration activities with 3rd party service providers and/or vendors or OEMs of equipment systems.
• Develop calibration program insourcing strategy.
• Partner with internal customers and equipment vendors to define calibration intervals and ranges.
• Perform instrumentation activities such as modifications, installations, commissioning and validation support, start-up of new equipment/instruments, and decommissioning.
• Assist in development & implementation of the Calibration Engineering budget.
• Maintain inventory of spare instruments, parts, and supplies.
• Work flexible hours to ensure production facility coverage.
Minimum Requirements:
• Associates degree with technical training or equivalent military training
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting and calibration of system instruments in an operations or manufacturing setting
• Physically capable and available to work overtime and/or respond to alarms after hours, including weekends, and holidays
Additional Preferences:
• 5 years’ experience in a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Experience with cGMP manufacturing for pharmaceuticals and devices
