INADEV is Hiring a Java Developer Near Falls Church, VA
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- INADEV is looking for a JAVA Developer who has experience in JAVA, Kafka, Node.JS GCP, APIs/Microservices (AKKA) to join our team in support of a Federal project.
- As part of an API modernization initiative, we are developing and deploying several API products and services to the external third parties/clients who would like to integrate functionality into ecommerce, shipping, or logistics systems. APIs that we are developing is an application which provides a near-real-time logistics visibility and a way to request automated messages to be sent to third parties from an application or service when something (event) happens. The application will automatically poll event streams (Kafka) that match client subscription and send message back to the client endpoint/URL.
- You will participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, development, testing, integration, documentation and presentation phases.
- You will apply principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific Work Order requirements and make recommendations and advise on organization-wide system improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts.
- The candidate may work closely with the team leader/chief engineer on activities such as technical proposal support, defect management, software development/modification/enhancement, system integration, and maintenance/process improvement activities.
- Work on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (H1-B, EAD/Green Card Holder, U.S. Citizen)
- Ability to pass a 7 year background check and eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust

- Bachelors Degree and 10 years of pertinent Software/Application development experience
- Must have experience with the following Tech Stack: JAVA, Kafka, Node.JS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), APIs/Microservices (AAKA)
- Strong knowledge of OOP concepts
- Ability to rapidly learn new software languages and frameworks
- Strong logic skills including the ability to work on implementing complex business requirements.
- Ability to work in both a team environment as well as individually
- Must possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues and ideas to team members, management and customers
