JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Lead requires an individual that is highly organized, efficient, detail orientated, and possesses a good math aptitude. The ideal candidates will possess good analytical skills in addition to the ability to analyze and determine outcome. Ensure the accuracy of financial information entered into the financial reporting system. This position includes and is responsible for inputting invoices for payment, assisting with accounting for receivables, understanding of the chart of accounts and filing/record retention. The ideal candidate will be able assist in leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurate and Timely Input of AP invoices into electronic approval system
• Code and route the invoices to the proper approver
• Assist with preparing back up for check runs
• Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior with coworkers
• Work closely with other departments to ensure customer expectations are met
• Maintain integrity of the company database
• Answer vendor and management questions related to your area
• Investigate and resolve vendor issues
• Communicate through oral, written, and phone communication with vendors, managers, and coworkers
• Special Projects/Reports (as requested by management)
• Prepare weekly payment reports for management
• Assist with month-end duties
• Complete 1099 processing
• Review and approve work of others

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Key strokes with high degree of accuracy
• Previous experience in an accounts payable department a plus
• Data entry with high degree of accuracy
• Above average skills with MS Office
• 10-Key by touch
• Strong math aptitude and analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent decision making and problem resolution skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a close knit environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sitting for extended period of time. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed. Employees are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements. The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.

During the COVID-19 pandemic: All In-Shape Team Members will be required to assist with greeting members to perform temperature checks and health screens, ensure members practice physical distancing and monitor cleaning of equipment after each use. Detailed instructions will be provided at time of hire.
