For more information about Implant Direct, visit www.Implantdirect.com Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: Develops and maintains CNC programs and related documentation for Production. Specifies tooling for job orders and perform machine set-ups on 5-Axis machine with Fanuc controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develops new CNC programs and related documentation (i.e. tooling sheets) for Production, in conjunction with production schedule. Maintains existing CNC programs for standardization and maximum efficiency (cycle time reduction, etc). Utilizes feedback from shop floor personnel to optimize machining processes. Performs set-ups, and/or provides technical support for CNC production machines. Troubleshoots machining problems, relying on experience, work colleagues, and other resources (i.e. vendors, universities, internet, etc). Supports team environment throughout all production processes. Support CNC machine maintenance. Other duties and projects as assigned by manager. Job Requirements: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required; college level machining classes, and / or formal CNC training preferred. Minimum four (4) years of CNC programming experience required. Five (5) years’ experience operating CNC lathe machines with three (3) years’ experience performing setups preferred. Minimum four (4) years’ experience with Delcam and Solidworks CAD / CAM programming software and / or equivalent (Mastercam or Surfcam) OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Minimum five (5) years’ experience interpreting engineering drawings or blueprints. Must have sound understanding of CNC machining and programming principles. Partmaker Experience preferred. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
