We are professional, agile and our goal is to mperial Group Manufacturing, an Ironform company, is a leading full-service supplier of truck body and chassis components, providing light- and medium-gauge fabricated metal components, precision metal stampings, and value-added assemblies to premier heavy truck, bus, and industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Imperial fabricates bumpers, battery and tool boxes, crown assemblies, bus component and chassis assemblies, fuel tanks, roofs, fenders, cross members, and more.

General Accountabilities: (As Required for specific jobs)

Maintain required work quality and output at all workstations and/or assembly lines.

Perform work in accordance with established ITAF16949 / ISO14001 requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe, well organized work area.

Perform minor machine maintenance as required.

Watch machine; know how to shut it down in an emergency

Perform sampling, inspection, and testing to documented control plans and test methods

Maintain records to demonstrate completion of testing and / or inspection

Read, interpret, and comply with quality and production standards including blueprints, spec sheets, visual inspection standards, work instructions, control plans and manufacturing orders.

Ability to understand operational layout and production flow.

Maintain quality of work as required and report any discrepancies.

QUALITY - Consistently meet Imperial’s and/or customer expectations for quality of work, while minimizing waste.

QUANTITY - Meet or exceed the areas productivity goals.

SAFETY - Work to provide a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Know how to perform Lock Out / Tag Out to prevent machine activation during maintenance, tooling changeover and tooling adjustments.

Responsible for using safety equipment such as “Stop Blocks” when putting any part of the body into a machine. In some cases this will be apart of the Lock Out / Tag Out processes to prevent injury.

Responsible for not by-passing safety features on the equipment including items such as machine guarding, dual palm buttons, and light curtains.

TEAMWORK - A collaborative effort towards maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Obeys all safety rules including but not limited to:

· PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

· Safe operation of machines / equipment

· Operating only machines / equipment in which the operator has had appropriate

training and/or licensing

ENVIRONMENTAL

1. Knowledge of Environmental Policy

2. Complies with Environmental policies and procedures which include but are not limited to:

· Proper labeling of all containers

· Proper storage of all hazardous materials

· Proper disposal of scrap material

· Proper disposal of chemical wastes

· Knowledge of spill containment where applicable

QUALITY / PRODUCTIVITY

· Awareness of the impact of non-conformities on both internal and external customers and end users.

· Knowledge of the Quality Policy

· The accuracy, thoroughness, and acceptability or work performed.

· Practical / technical skills and information used on the job.

· Completion of tasks on time

· Aware of (internal & external) customer delivery expectations

· Ability to train or lead

SKILLS TESTING

Three levels of testing exist per position that align with the training progression in each of our cells. Testing occurs every 2 months or so which carries with it the possibility of an increase in pay with passing grades. The skills test process is expanded for an individual who shows interest in learning others positions within the same cell or externally.

This element of our operations will be elaborated on during the interview process and beyond.

COMMUNICATION

Interpersonal Skills – The willingness and demonstrated ability to cooperate, work and communicate with co-worker, supervisor, subordinates, and/or outside contacts.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience (As Applicable)

· High School Diploma or equivalent or relative experience

· Demonstrated skill and ability to use precision measuring equipment including but not limited to: Gages, Calipers, Micrometers, and tape measures / scales.

· Knowledge of Imperial’s safety rules and practices.

· Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, and/or lift for up to the length of the shift.

· Frequent, repetitive movements such as Reaching, Grasping, Gripping and Fine manipulation with hands is required depending on the job.

· Good analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.51 per hour
